The prettiest time of year at Epcot is sadly coming to a close *cue the tears*. While the festival isn’t as garden-focused as it used to be (I’m looking at you awesome free gardening seminars that no longer exist!!) I still love the vibrant blooms spread across the park. Nothing says spring as much as a colorful bouquet of flowers. Now that Epcot is one rotating festival after another, there’s also food at each one and the Flower and Garden Festival is no exception. Many dishes return each year, so read on for this year’s Epcot Flower and Garden Festival favorites!
Ok, it must be mentioned that I’m not a huuuuuge chocolate dessert fan. Give me a non-chocolate option and I will almost always choose that one. So of course I was thrilled to see this dessert. It’s got everything I love. Griddle corn cake base, peach compote, vanilla ice cream and… maple popcorn topping!! I’m obviously biased but if you are a fellow not thrilled by chocolate dessert weirdo, give this dish a try.
I had heard many good things about this flatbread and it did not disappoint. Generous size for the price point and the flavors worked really well together.
Hands down, one of my favorite drinks at the festival! Made of Grey Goose Vodka Orange, St. Germain Liqueur, White and Red Cranberry Juice, this perfectly pink slushy is welcome on a hot Florida day (but not on a empty stomach… speaking from experience there haha)
Also from Fleur de Lys, this little tart pairs perfectly with the La Vie en Rose Slush (see above)! A deliciously flaky crust paired with the goat cheese and onions made for a surprising winner here.
Probably my number one pick of all the food options at the festival! This dish is a generous portion size and easily shareable. The cheesy grits are the perfect base for the shrimp and the corn relish is provides a light and fresh bite to top it all off. Don’t miss this one!
Ok, I take it back – this dish might actually be a tie for my number one pick at the festival. Here’s hoping this dish gets added to the new BBQ restaurant that’s being added to the America pavilion this year! A girl can dream, right? Fun fact: right after taking this photo, I turned around too quick and the entire top of my slider fell to the ground. Thankfully, the booth attendants swapped out a new one 🙂
Ok, ok, I know this is super easy to make at home if you have a grill. But we don’t have a grill and really, nothing screams it’s almost summer more than corn on the cob. Plus, this one is covered in tasty garlic goodness!
This might be sweetness overload, but ya’ll don’t miss this seasonal cronut – especially if you love blueberries. Max basically ate the entire one the first time we got this so of course we had to head back so I could get my fill. The blueberry mint julep is very refreshing to go with. There’s also a spiked option with bourbon if you’re feeling so inclined.
